Welcome to Basically Coco!

Hi, I'm Carly — the face behind Basically Coco.
I'm a proud mom to my teenage daughter, Belina, and a fur mama to two adorable pups—one of whom, funnily enough, is named Coco! My little Coco is just like the brand: beautiful and full of love.

So why the name Basically Coco?
Well, part of it is my sweet dog Coco, of course. But the real star is the luxurious coconut wax I use in all of my products. Since coconut is the base of everything I create, it’s... basically Coco! And it doesn’t stop at candles and wax melts—soaps, lotions, and bath and body treats are coming soon. And yes, they’ll all be Basically Coco too.

My candle journey began after I left my previous job, searching for something that would let me tap into my creativity and bring joy to others. One day, I stumbled across a video of someone making dessert-style candles and was instantly hooked. I had never seen anything like it. I ordered some supplies, started experimenting, and completely fell in love with the process.

After months of learning, testing, and pouring (literally!), I turned this passion into a brand rooted in love, creativity, and care. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the little things, and giving thoughtful, meaningful gifts truly fills my cup.

I’m not here just to sell—I’m here to connect. My hope is that each candle feels like a gift from a friend. One made with love, intention, and a little bit of magic. And really—who doesn’t love a good scented candle?
